About Spark Connections

1. What is Spark Connections?

Spark Connections allows individuals to discover new experiences, uncover their hidden passions and spark something new via fun events and activities!

Eligible individuals can register as Spark Connections members to receive $100 worth of free Spark Connections credits. These credits can be used to offset up to 50% of the featured activities cost during Spark Connections.

Do note that it will take up to 5 working days for the approval of your account, so sign up early for an account before registering for the events!

2. What kind of events and services are offered during Spark Connections?

There is something for everyone at Spark Connections!

Offerings include activities ranging from interest and lifestyle-based activities such as experiential workshops, outdoor adventure activities & tours, gaming sessions and more! Find out more here .

Registering as a Spark Connections Member

1. How to apply for an account?

Registration for an account is open to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are single, aged at least 20 years.

You can apply directly here with your Singpass.

Do note that it will take up to 5 working days for the approval of your account. Do sign up early for an account before buying a Spark Connections programme!

2. I am currently a Spark Connections member. How do I receive the credits?

For new members, you will receive the $100 electronic credits to be used at Changi Recommends within 5 working days.

For existing members, the $100 electronic credits will automatically be credited to you to be used at Changi Recommends on a yearly basis (resets every year on 1st January).

3. What should I do if I experience difficulties in registering as a Spark Connections member?

Please write in to MSF_SDN@msf.gov.sg  and provide screenshots of the issues encountered.

The screenshots will help our technical team to identify the issue and troubleshoot.

Redeeming Spark Connections Credits on Changi Recommends

1.How do I receive my Spark Connections credits on Changi Recommends?

After your Spark Connections account is approved, head over here and tap on the white “Spark Connections” button on the bottom right side of your screen. Follow the steps accordingly to redeem your Spark Connections credits.

2.I can’t link my Spark Connections account to my Changi Recommends account, as it has been used for another Changi Recommends account. What should I do?

If this was not done by you, please contact sparkconnections@changirecommends.com.sg or 6701 1185 immediately for assistance. To allow us to look into this, do provide your Changi Recommends account details (i.e. your phone number, email, Spark Connections membership ID and the last 4 digits of your NRIC)

Use for Spark Connections Activities

1. How do I use my credits on Spark Connections programmes?

Simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Browse Spark Connections programmes here and find something that piques your interest.

Step 2: Add the event to cart and checkout.

Step 3: When making payment, remember to utilise your Spark Connections credits at the checkout page to offset up to 50% of the event cost.

Step 4: Enter your Spark Connections membership ID and the last 4 digits of your NRIC for verification.

Step 5: Complete checkout and look out for a confirmation email on your purchase.

Note: You will require a Changi Recommends account to use your credits to buy a Spark Connections Programme.

2. Why can I only purchase the ticket for one Spark Connections event each time?

This is to ensure that the correct amount of Spark Connections credits is deducted from you at the checkout page for a Spark Connections programme.

3. Is there a limit to the number of programmes I can attend with the $100 Spark Connections credits?

While there is no limit to the number of programmes you can attend using the Spark Connections credits, do note that once the $100 Spark Connections credits are fully utilised, you would not be able to obtain additional credits, until 1st January of the following year.

4. How can I cancel my registration for a Spark Connections event and get a refund?

Requests for cancellation and/or refund are not allowed once payment is made for the events(s), so do choose your Spark Connections events wisely!

Credits Management

1. Do the Spark Connections credits have an expiry date?

The $100 Spark Connections credits are given to eligible individuals on a yearly basis.

On 31st December of every year, any remaining credits will be nullified. On 1st January, your account will be reset to $100 Spark Connections credits, as long as you remain eligible to receive them.

2. When I have finished using my $100 credits, am I allowed to register using my friend, family, or any other third party’s account to attend more events and services?

No, each eligible individual is only entitled to $100 Spark Connections credits yearly.

You would not be able to use other individuals’ credits and you are not allowed to offer or transfer your credits to others.

In the event that you have utilised all of your credits and wish to attend Spark Connections events, you may still sign up and pay the full event cost.

3. How do I check the credits balance?

You can login to your account at Changi Recommends . Once you have logged in, please click on your account and your credits balance can be viewed there.

4.What should I do if I experience difficulties in viewing my credits balance?

Please write in to sparkconnections@changirecommends.com.sg or contact 6701 1185. Do provide the screenshots of the error encountered as well as your Changi Recommends account details (i.e. your phone number, email, Spark Connections membership ID and the last 4 digits of your NRIC).
