CHIMEI Museum is a comprehensive museum with wide collections of Western art, musical instruments, weaponry and natural history. There are permanent exhibition galleries, one temporary exhibition gallery and sculpture halls in the main building. Come admire the carefully curated selection of art pieces and appreciate the architecture of the museum which itself is like a work of art. Chimei museum is strongly recommended for all art lovers who are visiting Tainan. Visit the official website to find out more about ongoing exhibitions!

From 13 September 2019 to 2 June 2020, be entranced by the magical Beyond the Shadows exhibition. In real life, we are conditioned to perceive the existence and changes of "light," but rarely do we pay attention to the "shadow" behind the light. Beyond the Shadows is a collection of fifteen artists from Taiwan and abroad, whose works have subverted the superior-subordinate relationship between light and shadow and will bring you the most astonishing viewing experience of “shadows” in life. Don’t miss this temporary exhibition that runs for this limited period only!
