Visit Samurai Museum in Shinjuku, Tokyo and learn about the ancient Japanese Samurai Culture! Enjoy the traditional live music show performance on Saturday nights.

Samurai Museum is a great place to learn Japanese history and the ancient Japanese Samurai culture. Located in the middle of Kabuki-cho, the biggest red-light district in Japan, Samurai Museum will take you back to ancient times with its great collections.

The mission for the museum is to share true Samurai spirits so that you can have a better understanding of Samurai, including how they fought, who they were, what they believed. The museum offers a free English guided tour that runs frequently so you can learn rich Samurai history at a deeper level. Many interesting facts about Samurai are also covered in this tour.

At the museum, you can find many beautiful collections of actual samurai armors, war helmets, swords, matchlock guns, and other artifacts on display. You can dress up as a samurai by wearing the Samurai helmets, and holding a samurai sword without any additional charge. You may also enjoy a free 15 minutes performance of a sword battle! At the end of the visit, you can also stop by the souvenir shop to buy replicas of the samurai sword, original T-shirts and other cool samurai gifts.

Traditional Live Music Show:

We show you a 'shakuhachi' (bamboo flute) and 'koto' (Japanese harp) duet, played by the finest Japanese musicians. It is a cozy and casual atmosphere where you can just relax and enjoy listening to the beautiful sounds of Japanese musical instruments.

The live music show is quite fun and interactive. You can get a chance to play musical instruments with instructions from professional musicians. We play both traditional Japanese music and western pop music. We will also explain about the musical instruments and each music with an English speaking translator.

If you like to entertain yourself musically, we will make sure that you have a fun experience by joining this special event. There are only limited seats available for each show so please book tickets here to get good seats!
