The most fearsome pirate clan in Japan, the Murakami Kaizoku pirates ruled the waters of the Seto Inland Sea during the mid-14th century, taking control of major sea routes using their expertise to navigate the violently swirling currents. It is said that their knowledge and expertise have influenced present-day military and politics in this area.
This tour features a visit to the Murakami Suigun Museum; the only military museum in Japan, with a collection of model ships from the period and costumes worn by the general, complete with an opportunity to learn about the history of Murakami Kaizoku pirates while appreciating the treasures of the museum.
At the museum, you can experience wearing full-bodied armor and a collection of arms from the period. After the visit, there will be multiple photo opportunities. You will get a complimentary drink at the in-house cafe, and a T-shirt with a motif of Murakami Suigun. (You can choose one from M, L, and XL sizes.)
You will go on an easy cruise around the historic castle ruins with a rich backdrop of neighboring islands adorned with a beautiful white bridge. Active around 500 years ago, The Murakami Clan controlled the narrow waterways interspersed with tides that, to this day, reach a speed of up to 18km/h. In this plan, you can experience the powerful natural phenomena of the Seto Inland Sea by boarding a ship. Characterized by violent sea currents and breaking waves, you can experience the life of a pirate; a thrilling experience that rocks the whole body. Let's experience the beautiful spectacle of nature while immersing in the history of the Murakami Clan.
